Hello March!! Here’s to more sunshine and longer days! 🙏🏻😎 On our walls this month we’re featuring Pilar and Loreto, twin sisters and artists born and raised in Chile now raising families of their own in beautiful Victoria. Natures own artwork inspires them to deliver messages of love and respect for the Earth and its wildlife with our brushstrokes. When not in the studio, or corralling their little ones, they are out searching for peaceful seascapes, misty forests, and interesting critters to capture for our next project. We’re very excited to have received new work by Kylee Turunen. Available for viewing in the Gallery or online (link below). Her work is inspired by our west coast and Vancouver island. Kylee works with colour and form, often playing with opposites like curves and straight edges, or light and dark tones to create contrast within her work. Painting abstracted art allows her to escape from reality, creating something completely original from a place only in her mind. While she enjoys the freedom of expression involved in this process, it also brings her great joy to recreate the beauty that surrounds her using representational intricacy within her landscape paintings.

Happenings at The Gallery The Gallery at Mattick's Farm along with our participating artists, are excited to present our 7th annual holiday group show supporting the BC Children's Hospital! Once again the gallery is dressed for the holiday season, the walls are filled with beautiful creations of all sizes, shiny sparkly jewelry ready to thrill that special person on your list, as well as lots of other amazing pieces waiting to go to their new homes.

So what are these, you ask? 🤨 These are “Flødeboller”! I call them chocolate covered sugar bombs… basically a cookie with a marshmallow (kind-of) filling covered in chocolate or chocolate and coconut. I have to admit they are quite tasty in a super sweet sorta way! They sure are popular, whatever you call them
